4. Baby Plans: A Year of Firsts
A senior model plan isn’t the only fun thing SMP has been working on! Maternity and newborn sessions are where it all began and I always knew that I wanted this to be a pillar of my brand. Starting in 2018, SMP will be offering “baby plans” to maternity and newborn clients! Consider a baby plan (or also known as a grow with me plan) as the highlight reel of your little ones first year of experiences.
“The first year of a baby’s life is when they change the fastest. You can’t get those memories or pictures back. So every three months ensures not only that I won’t miss those memories, but that I can capture them in a picture to look at always. Baby plans are designed to give new parents the most for their money and cover an entire first year of the babies’ life (also known as a year of firsts- I know, LOTS of names for this). Here all the growth of your little one is documented on camera for you to have as keepsakes! It begins with a newborn session and meant to document every milestone following that one.
At three months, it is likely your baby is a bit more interactive and can even hold up their own head perhaps. Due to the nature of this session, it is very common that family members such as grandparents or godparents are a part of the process and always an option!
At six months, your little cherub is ready or about ready to sit on their own and nine months support themselves while standing! Some of my absolute favorite shots come from these two sessions! Your little one is interactive, giggly and very very curious.
The next milestone will come before you know it and is the one year mark! Here we celebrate their birthday, and a full year of firsts, with a fun session focused on their personality. Perhaps you have a cake smash in mind?! The newborn, six month and one-year markers are full sessions whereas the three and nine months are minis.
For those mommas that would like to participate in the baby plan but are ecstatic about a maternity session as well can turn your baby plan session into a bump to a baby by simply adding on a maternity session!
